Comprised of elemental materials as carbon, water, and gold, Cleaving, is a binary installation which describes the terrain of water. Through shifts in scale from the panoramic to the miniature, the work explores the space between object and reflectivity, unity and division, difference and sameness, and the terranean and celestial. The project was installed in an unfinished space of Granite City Art and Design District (GCADD) in Granite City, IL.
